Milton Receives Third Quarter Gaming Revenue Payment from OLG

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is pleased to make a third quarter (October 1 – December 31) payment totaling $1,226,422 to the Town of Milton for hosting Elements Casino Mohawk.

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year (April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025), Milton has received $5,406,676. Since the gaming site opened in August 1999, Milton has received $147,875,365. These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.

“OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Milton to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents,” said Zee Hamid, Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton. “Elements Casino Mohawk supports numerous jobs and generates a great deal of economic activity that, in turn, improves the well-being of our local community.”

Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.

OLG is proud to share proceeds of casino gaming with local communities, contributing to economic development including infrastructure and job creation. Payments to host communities are part of OLG’s commitment to Ontario, which includes reinvesting 100 per cent of OLG’s profits back into the province.

Over the past eight years, service providers have invested more than $2.5 billion in private sector capital investment across the province. These investments have led to the development and opening of seven new casinos, one large scale resort development, numerous gaming floor expansions and new non-gaming amenities.

OLG is a crown agency that contributes to a better Ontario by delivering great entertainment experiences for our customers. Acting in a socially responsible way, OLG conducts and manages land-based gaming facilities; the sale of province-wide lottery games; Internet gaming; and the delivery of bingo and other electronic gaming products at Charitable Gaming Centres.

OLG is also helping support the horse racing industry in Ontario. Since 1975, OLG has generated approximately $62 billion for the people and Province of Ontario to support key government priorities like health care; the treatment and prevention of problem gambling; and support for amateur athletes. Each year profits from OLG's operations also support host communities, Ontario First Nations, lottery retailers and local charities across the province.
