Meet Zee
Zee Hamid is the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Milton and currently serves as Ontario’s Associate Solicitor General for Auto Theft and Bail Reform. In this role, he leads the province’s coordinated efforts to combat organized crime, strengthen bail compliance, and protect communities across Ontario. His mandate includes working closely with police services, prosecutors, and municipalities to disrupt auto theft networks and modernize the justice system to keep repeat offenders off the streets.
Previously, Zee served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance, where he supported Ontario’s economic recovery efforts and helped advance policies that balanced fiscal responsibility with affordability for families and businesses.
Before joining the provincial government, Zee dedicated over a decade to municipal politics, serving three terms as a Milton Town Councillor and representing the community on Halton Regional Council. In 2022, he ran for Mayor of Milton, earning widespread community support and narrowly missing victory by fewer than 1,000 votes.
He has a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo. Before entering public service, he held senior technology leadership roles at major global companies, including Microsoft, DoorDash and Amazon, and later served as Vice President of Engineering at a Toronto-based software firm.
Deeply committed to community service, Zee has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton, the Milton Public Library, and Milton Economic Development, and served on boards such as Halton Healthcare and Conservation Halton.
Zee and his wife live in Milton in an active farm.
