Zee Hamid is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton. A former three-term elected councillor, Zee has
spent a better part of his adult life working to make Milton a better place to live, work and raise a family.
He continues to live in Milton with his wife and their blended family of six children.
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Zee immigrated to Canada as a teenager and earned a Bachelor of Mathematics
and Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo. Before politics, Zee had a successful technology
career working with major companies like Microsoft and Amazon. He last worked at a local tech company as a
Vice President of Engineering.
Passionate about serving his community beyond politics, Zee has volunteered his time for local organizations
such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton, Milton Public Library, and Milton Economic Development. He has
also served on the boards of Halton Healthcare and Conservation Halton.
Through his efforts, he has also raised thousands of dollars for various causes including mental health
support. Zee once rode his motorcycle 3,686km around Lake Superior to raise money for mental health to promote
accessibility and remove cost-associated barriers and has raised over $80,000 in Milton for mental health
through his various fundraisers.
